Mercedes v Aston Martin … Charity was the winner!
Wednesday 27th September saw a slightly different fixture at Brackley Town Football Club than you would normally see. A team of Mercedes workers took on a team of Aston Martin workers in a ‘friendly’ football match in all in aid of raising money for their respective charities.
Mercedes have been supporting Mind this year and we’re delighted that Aston Martin are supporting the Silverstone Recreational Association. The players enjoyed a great game with a few tussles, but it was all played in good spirits.
The Aston Martin team did come out on top in terms of the football score; they won 5-4 but with thousands of pounds being raised there was no doubt that charity was the true winner.
Thank you to Brackley Town Football Club and both Mercedes and Aston Martin for a fabulous evening. We’ve heard nothing other than positive feedback about a great event, fantastic atmosphere and even the opportunity to see not just one but two F1 cars up close and personal. I think the locals are definitely looking forward to seeing a re-match!
